- Couple of things; the icon at "Article Spotlight" doesn't look good, since the background colour doesn't match. An Icon would be great, but it'd have to be another one.. I'll see if i can find something.. Also, it says "Our Article of the Week[...]" in the text. I like "Article Spotlight" better, since choosing one great article per week will probably be a bit much (at least before launch)..

- Woot! =) Yeah, I just found it as placeholder, that icon can be changed dependant on the "spotlight" at the time, just upload a new image over top of the first. I'll hunt around for something more decent for it. Maybe the GC logo itself seeing as it's about "GC". Daworm talk / cont 05:55, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

- Suggestion for the main page, as much as it is nice to have a big fat banner logo up the top there, I have yet to find another Wiki that does the same as that .. and it really eats into the site a bit IMO. How about designing some smaller logos to go in the logo section like on other wiki's? This is from some feedback on the official forums in a thread. Comments about too much fluff and filler. - Something else, how about having a "thank you" page where people using the Wiki can post a quick thank you without really having to contribute, and maybe lock the page so only registered people can post? Just an idea. Daworm 00:48, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Hello! I am Kirkburn, and I help out Wikia with their gaming wikis.
Just took a brief look around and I have to say I like the skin! Very cool :) However, I note the top left image doesn't link back to the MP, which can be a bit disconcerting. Fixable, perhaps by using a transparent overlay? Also, the MP could do with a header, just saying "welcome to the AoC wiki" or something. I must say I do like the general design ... but perhaps I'm biased, heh. Kirkburn (talk) 08:06, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hey Kirkburn, thanks for the input, despite lack of trying we've been waiting for some more constructive feedback. Feel free to make a copy of the front page on your Talk page and suggest alternate layouts / designs, we are always open to suggestion. There have been some comments about the color scheme on the official Age of Conan forums, but not much else apart from "it looks better than the last implementation!" But good point on the page linkback, will definately make sure Zido is aware of this to try and correct it. I personally feel that the frontpage could use a little more spruiking up, but still learning my way around the wiki code, I'm not the best at it.

- Hi Kirkburn, I'm glad you like the design. I'll try to make the top-left linked to the main page. It shouldn't be too hard, just have to make sure that it doesn't mess up any positioning. A header would probably be ok, and I think some icons would be nice here. I'm not sure exactly what the title should say though.. "Welcome tho the Age of Conan wiki"? - I think we need to look at creating a "beastiary" section. Just seen a post on the official forums about this, and at the moment we a category style... but need a user created / defined Bestiary List I think. Daworm 02:18, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Need a system for feats pages. Thinking of doing a similar style to the Spells and Abilities, but not sure on that yet. Any suggestions? See this link for a list of Feats that someone has compiled from forums and various sources. Daworm 01:29, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

- haha - it's going to be MURDER keeping it all under control! :P Might wait a tad bit longer, as it might be more beneficial to list the Feats on whole pages rather than separate pages like the spells. So a list of Soldier Feats from Level 5-20 21-30 31-40 etc. And Barbarian 20-29 30-39 that sort of thing. Then there's the General Feats for random skills! Hrmm.. messy messy messy! But I think it'll be a wiki with the LARGEST amount of pages for Daworm 13:15, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

How about having a "important links" spot on the front page ?? Maybe a third table with some more information??
Provide links back to the community site, the forums and maybe other worth-while sites as deemed appropriate?

Hi Ausir. Yeah that shouldn't be an issue IMO. for the internal wikia linking. Will need one other sysop to agree before addition. Although a new page is in the final stages over here to replace the current one, and I was considering a list of important links as you mentioned to possibly be at the top of it. IE: Shunt the "welcome to aocwiki" to the left of the page there, and have it sitting to the right side of it. Daworm talk / cont 03:23, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Awesome work on that main page Daworm :) It truly is an upgrade from the current one. One suggestion - perhaps the headings such as "Article Index" and "News" and so on could have small icons before them like in WikiAoC? It's not really crucial, but a nice feature I think.
Other than that, fine job, let's throw it in eh? :D
