RaidingEdit

A large-scale attack on an area by a group of parties and players.

RLEdit

Everything outside of Age of Conan, like real eating and sleeping, jobs, school, family, gatherings, etc.

Usually abbreviated to RL (Real Life) in chat.

RP Edit

Abbrevation of Role Play, generally referring to creating a persona for your in-game character.

RP-PVPEdit

Shortened form for RP and PvP together meaning Role Play Player Versus Player.

A role-playing game (RPG) is a type of game in which players assume the roles of characters and collaboratively create narratives. Gameplay progresses according to a predetermined system of rules and guidelines, within which players may improvise freely. Player choices shape the direction and outcome of role-playing games.

Role-playing games are typically more collaborative and social than competitive. A typical role-playing game unites its participants into a single team that adventures as a group. A role-playing game rarely has winners or losers. This makes role-playing games fundamentally different from board games, card games, sports and most other types of games. Like novels or films, role-playing games appeal because they engage the imagination.

Computer games incorporating gameplay mechanics from role-playing games are referred to as computer role-playing games, or CRPGs. Due to the popularity of CRPGs, the terms "role-playing game" and "RPG" have both to some degree been co-opted by the computer gaming industry; as a result, traditional non-digital pastimes of this sort are increasingly being referred to as pen and paper role-playing games (PnP RPG or PPRPG) or tabletop role-playing games (TTRPG).

RTSEdit

An acronym for "Real Time Strategy". A type of computer game that required constant attention to actions in the game in real-time, unlike Turn-Based games which wait for the player to initiated a set of queued actions.

RWEdit

An acronym for Real World, meaning anything outside the game, such as work, school, family etc.

RaidEdit

A raid is considered to be a large group. In Age of Conan you can be a maximum of 24 players in a raid, but to have this you need to have four Commanders in the group, since each of them allow you to have one more player in the raid up to four. Without any Commanders you'll be limited to 20 players in a raid.

RdyEdit

Short for ready.

Renew mana Edit

This is a basic skill that is similar to bandaging however, it allows your character to quickly recover mana when not in combat.

RootEdit

A spell that prevents movement. Root and Rot - Tactic using root and a damage over time spell.
Mobs have a tendency to get freed from roots when they are dealt a certain amount of damage. Epic mobs need more damage to get free.

Rubber BandEdit

A character suddenly gets back to starting point.
