Not far from the wreckage of a caravan, I stumbled across a boy named Ptah. Ptah told me of the sudden attack which left both of his parents dead. Ptah has asked me to find and kill the beast which attacked them; in return he has promised me his father's coin purse. Ptah has suggested that I investigate the Mantis men who roam the desert nearby.

I have spoken with the Mantis, Cthhrakl, who told me that the creature was not one of his people. He said that they had driven it off to the west, but that I must be cautious, the creature was very dangerous.
III. A Child's Vengeance[]

I have killed the scorpion which attacked Ptah and his family; it will no longer bother anybody. I should return to Ptah with the news that his vengeance is complete
