I. A Bad Bargain[]

Journal Entry[]
According to Valoz da Neva, he has only ever made a bad bargain once in his life. The result of the bargain was that Valoz was left with half of a treasure map written in a language that he cannot understand. I managed to get Valoz to give me the treasure map, though he swears it will be of no use to me unless I speak to the innkeeper he bought it from in Khemi.
I should take the map to the innkeeper of the Serpent Head Inn in the city of Khemi in Stygia.
II. The Second Half[]

Innkeeper Gezzet remembered the map and, more importantly, where it came from. Apparently it was forgotten at the inn by an old man, a cartographer from the Purple Lotus Swamp.
Gezzet sold the other half of the map to a man from Tarantia, named Xanarus Darkhand. He suggested that I look for Xanarus in Old Tarantia. He mentioned something about the sewers.
I can take a ship to Old Tarantia from the docks on the northeastern side of Khemi.

The map fragment drops from Xanarus Darkhand in the sewers at location 155, 455 (right next to Fabio's dog, Princess.
III. The Cartographer[]

I have found the second half of the mysterious map. I took it from the dead body of the Tarantian gang leader, Xanarus Darkhand. The next step in this bizarre treasure hunt is to take the map to the Cartographer in the Purple Lotus Swamp.
The Purple Lotus Swamp lies along the southern road leading out of Khopshef Province. It is a dangerous region and I must be wary if I travel there.
