Lemurians are the race of Lemuria, a large chain of islands in the eastern hemisphere. After the destruction of their land, the Lemurians fled onto the eastern shore of the Thurian continent where the ancestors of the Stygians enslaved them for many years. Later, they successfully led a revolt against their masters and migrated into the west. This migration may have been prompted by memories of an ancient colony of Lemuria which laid west of Khitai. There were, in ancient times, two main lobes of Lemurian movement: the southern tribes, which eventually founded Old Stygia, and the northern tribes, which eventually founded Acheron. The much later movement of Lemurian survivors out of the deserts and steppes in the Far East gave rise to the Hyrkanians.
