The Cult had been forged out of the shards of shattered homelands, out of the last glimmering embers of dying families, out of those who had been broken, yet continued to survive. They embraced their vengeance, the edge of each shard, the burning passion of each ember. By their will alone they had forced themselves to live. Coals became bonfires, shards the sharpest weapons, and the Cultists would seek revenge on those who had failed to end them.
