  • History:

In an unknown land, Zeriti discovered the ancient language of Acheron and probably its magic as well.

Eventually, Zeriti became King Akhirom's lover and the most powerful woman in all of Pelishtia.

Akhirom was convinced by Rufia, an Ophirean courtesan, to be a god. He kept Rufia at his flank, while Zeriti became jealous and envious because she lost her influence over the King.

Zeriti

When Akhirom grew bored with Rufia, he gave her to Imbalayo. One of Akhirom's servants informed Zeriti, who intercepted Imbalayo in the royal palace's armory and demanded to exact her revenge on Rufia. Imbalayo refused, but Zeriti threatened to publicly accuse him of Othbaal's murder. Imbalayo unwittingly gave Rufia over to Zeriti. The witch had two servants bring Rufia to her quaters, then restrained the girl and whipped her once. Afterwards, Zeriti started casting a spell to summon a demon. She drew a sign belonging to the Serpent Men of Valusia before the Cataclysm. She placed some red lotus' pollen in the flames, and pronounced words in an ancient language older than Python itself. Suddenly, a cloud of black smoke appeared and in its middle two sparkling eyes. Zeriti blew three times in the demon's eyes before she was interrupted by Imbalayo, who wanted Rufia back. She invoked the gods Hotep and Khafra then lunged at Imbalayo with her knife. However, Imbalayo quickly stabbed Zeriti in the middle of her chest. She fell onto the floor, mortally wounded.

Conan found Rufia and fought against Imbalayo, with the demon summoned by Zeriti killing Imbalayo during the struggle. Still, Zeriti wasn't dead. She heard mention of Conan actually being Amra, which gave her an idea. She arose, still bleeding, with the intent of revealing to the citizens of Asgalun Conan's real identity. When Conan tried to reach her, Zeriti summoned a wall of flames and limped away.

Zeriti revealed to the enraged crowd that Amra the Lion was in their city. Fortunately, Conan and Rufia had already left Asgalun.
