Dungeons in Age of Conan come in two varieties: Open and Instanced:

• Open Dungeons act as any other zone, allowing free-for-all access to all content. As with any hub, exploration or crafting zone, Open Dungeons are themselves instanced, but with a large, unbiased player-cap.

• Instanced Dungeons are arranged with a single group in mind, and as such are instanced uniquely for the entrants, as well as any additional party members added during exploration. This restrictive access ensures no conflict of interest can occur between the adventurer or group and any third parties.
