Dual Wielding is the use of two weapons at once, thereby increasing damage while decreasing defense (often by giving up a shield). The option of which weapons that can be used varies in different classes, but no other weapons than One-Handed Edged, One-Handed Blunt, Dagger and Talisman can be dual wielded. Though, in Age of Conan, Ranger is the only class that can choose between the option of dual wielding two weapons at once or to use a shield in off hand, as the other classes that can dual wield two weapons can not wear shields. Thus no other melee class than Ranger have to choose between increase in damage on behalf of defense, and visa versa. The same choice applies to Priests of Mitra and Tempests of Set who can dual wield talismans giving up the shield.
Dual Wielding Weapons can be utilized by the Conqueror, Barbarian, Ranger and Assassin. Also, some Talismans can be equipped in both Main Hand and Off-Hand, making it possible for Demonologist, Necromancer, Priest of Mitra and Tempest of Set to dual wield.
